About Your Trainer Erika Camm is deeply rooted in her interest for health and wellness advocacy. As an active toddler, she discovered her passion for the performing arts at a local dance studio in the heart of Philadelphia at the age of three. Continuing to dance throughout highschool and college, Erika has trained in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, acrobatics, modern, and Latin ballroom. She has performed in numerous shows, has danced professionally for Maxim, and was a member of Rowan University's Dance Extensions. Though very much involved in physical activity her entire life, Erika was unaware of her future in health and fitness until, as a concerned teenager, she encouraged her mother to lose weight. It was only then did she discover her true passion for fitnes. Erika decided to take up kickboxing and motivated her mom to join a kickboxing class offered to middle-aged women at their local wellness center. Her mother lost weight. In fact, all the women who participated were getting the results they hoped for, thanks to the passion and motivation of their trainer known as "Big Daddy." Erika ultimately fell not only for kickboxing, but for helping others look better and live healthier. Erika was inspired to create a career helping others achieve their fitness goals and a higher quality of life! Erika Camm has obtained a degree in Health and Exercise Science with a specialization in Health Promotion and Fitness Management from Rowan University. She graduated Magnum Cum Laude in 2005-2006, having obtained Dean's List eleven semesters, and has been recognized for her academic accomplishments by the National Honor Society and Golden Key International Honor Society at the collegiate level. Throughout college, Erika was also involved in the National Wellness Institute as well as REBEL-U. She has vendored the YMCA's Healthy Kids Day in Vineland, NJ and has hosted fitness events for the Girl Scouts of Southern New Jersey among numerous other volunteer projects. Erika was also one of six students who helped founded and taught Project WATER, a wellness program for the emergency responders of Camden County. Erika has won the Community Service and Lifestyle and Fitness Awards from The Miss America Organization in recognition for her involvement with children's fitness and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle. Erika continues to strive as an involved advocate in the community's health and fitness realm.
